About Freya
Freya has assisted people through her skills in psychology for over twenty years, in both Private Practice and in Community Mental Health settings.
Having worked with individuals and couples, who seek her support for a broad range of issues such as depression, anxiety, grief, victims of crime, life transitions, coaching, trauma, learning and developmental difficulties, relationships, family issues and more, her experience and knowledge ensures she offers invaluable guidance to those who need it.

Freya believes that therapeutic counselling offers an opportunity for people to explore their issues in a supportive and non-judgmental relationship, where clients work towards meeting the goals that are meaningful for them. Therapeutic goals may be reached through a number of different ways. Whether through providing psycho-education about how body, emotions, behaviour, thoughts and how healthy relationships work; through developing new skills; building coping mechanisms; learning skills to self calm and self soothe; strengthening ego and sense of self; reprocessing trauma memories or working towards goal setting and problem solving, Freya’s here to help.

Freya draws on a number of therapeutic modalities including CBT, EMDR, Schema therapy, Mindfulness, Relaxation and Psycho-education.
